In memory of our friend Matt

In loving memory of our friend Matt

Matt and his family moved to Provence in the same year Meg and I set up home here. We quickly became friends with Matt and Nicola. Ned and our daughter Camilla then bonded closely as the only English speakers in the village. We feel blessed to have had him in our lives. He was a bloody good bloke who was always available to help others.

On March 20th, we celebrated what would have been his 50th birthday with his family and friends here in Provence. Our club cycle rides in the Gorges de la Nesque, which was always one of his favourite places, will always resonate with Matt's memory.

If we can help prevent just one more person from doing what Matt did, then this tribute page has done its job. Lifeline is a wonderful organisation that does amazing work in offering support to those considering this awful conclusion.

Our love and continued support now goes to his wife Nicola and little Ned who he has left behind. RIP Matt
