Walk4Health - 1 December 2023
This year, for Service Learning Week, students will focus on the issues surrounding Mental Health and raising awareness about the important work of Lifeline within our community. We are aiming to educate and upskill our students about self-care, mental health, resilience and support networks that they can establish and utilise.
On middle day of the Service Learning Program, Primary Years students will participate in their Walk4Health, a two-hour sponsored walk around Fagen Park.
The final day of our Service Learning Program, Senior Years students will participate in our Walk4Health, a 13-kilometre walk around Sydney CDB as they embark on a discovery about Mental Health and Lifeline.
Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury provides vital suicide prevention services to Sydney's northside - from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River. They are part of the national Lifeline network providing all Australians with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.
Their vision is an Australia free of suicide. They are committed to providing vital crisis support services and increasing mental health awareness and knowledge of the people in the local community.
